Long Description: Westcoast Fish Expeditions will help you experience some of the best fishing on the entire west coast. The key to our success rate is Ucluelets’ location, our experienced guides and our quality boats and equipment.
We are surrounded by many different fisheries which provide us with the most consistent and reliable fishing on the coast throughout the entire year, making each trip a successful one.
As your guide, I have been in the sportsfishing industry for over 16 years. My fish guiding experience ranges up and down the B.C. coast with several lodges to the tropics of Costa Rica.I now reside in Ucluelet and have been fishing the area for over 14 years, gaining extensive knowledge of local and offshore waters. Westcoast Fish Expeditions has been operating as a professional independent charter company for over 12 years.
SALMON AND HALIBUT SUMMER SEASON INTRODUCTION - MAY, JUNE, JULY, AUG, SEPT
This time of the year is considered prime time for sports fishing here on the west coast of Vancouver Island. Fantastic inshore and offshore Chinook salmon, Coho salmon and halibut fishing, often only minutes from Ucluelet, make for non-stop action.
WINTER SALMON SEASON INTRODUCTION - NOV, DEC, JAN, FEB, MAR, APRIL
During the winter and early spring we offer much more than just great salmon fishing, but an entire west coast seafood harvesting experience. At Westcoast Fish we want to share with you the pleasures of catching your own ocean bright winter Chinook salmon, fresh crabs, prawns, oysters and clams. Come aboard and learn the finer techniques of harvesting your own seafood delights.

We weren't stopped for more than ten min. before, Bam! Our first hit. Hans, pulled in a nice but small 8 lb. Chinook salmon. We thought he should let it go, but no way, he was keepin' it! A couple minutes later Dave got a strike. A beautiful 12 pounder (his only one in). Later, Anita pulled up the first of many halibut (now known as the halibut queen). In the end, we limited out in our catch. End tally: 6 salmon and 6 halibut. A nice final ending to our trip: pulled up the crab trap and got 5 nice Dungeness crabs for the pot.

Greetings from Csilla and Franz. We found our pictures in your guest book in the internet.They're great and we thank you.We were very satisfied with our successful fishing and your work. Many of our friends are envying us for ourholidays and the big fish.We brought home all our fish, smoked and fresh. Now weare enjoying it, usually with a good white wine.We will surely be back. Maybe next year or at thelatest in 2006.

John & I had a great time this past weekend. As you may have heard, I either ate something bad Saturday night or caught the flu - enough to take me out of the picture or the Sunday trip with Kirk. Still, lots of fish made the trip home and we had lots of fun doing it. Will look forward to getting together again.

Price: Prices starting as low as $350
Extra Price Information: These charter boats can comfortably handle up to 4 guests along with one guide/skipper. There have been several times when we take up to 5 guests plus guide/skipper. Each charter boat comes with top of the line electronics, tackle, gear and marine toilets.

8-10 hours $ 800.00 + 7% gst (tax)
4 persons 8-10 hours $ 875.00 + 7% gst (tax)
5 persons 8-10 hours $ 975.00 + 7% gst (tax)

Policies: Charter reservations are highly recommended, especially during the high salmon and halibut fishing season of May, June, July, August and September. Reservations are a good idea for booking any charter throughout the year. It gives us ample time to be ready and prepared for your arrival assuring that your salmon or halibut fishing trip is a successful and positive one. Many of my regular fishing clients book their dates 1 year to 6 months in advance to assure they get their prime salmon and/or halibut fishing dates. |
