Short Description: Hunting & Fishing Lodge & Fly Fishing School
Long Description: We offer packaged trips and adventures on the Gander River in central Newfoundland, Canada. Approximately 30 miles north west of Gander, NFairport.
We offer excellent hunting for big game, Moose, Caribou and Black bear. Fly fishing for Atlantic Salmon and Trout. Some packages available to do both.
We also offer a Fly Fishing school and have the only certified FFF instructors in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Our lodge is a full service facility offering fine dining. Our chef will delight you with meals and treats throughout your stay. Our staff is fully trained and knowledgeable in the field and on the river. All guest accommmodations have private washrooms and showers and we also supply towels, soap and shampoo.
Seniors and people with difficulty walking will like our location as you can fish right in front or have your guide take you a the Gander River boat to a pool nearby.
Rain suits are provided and we also have fishing equipment available for guest use at no extra charge.
Our property has a gift shop and we carry an unusual line of fine gifts and souvenirs as well as fishing licences,flies and other items you may need.
We have been the recipient of several awards and are currently being featured in a new book by Boston Mills press called "Canada's Classic Fishing Lodges". We are one of only 17 such lodgesfrom across Canada to be invited to do so.
We are also listed in Sport's Afields, NorthAmerica's Greatest fishing lodges and have received three "Top Guides Seals" from picked by you, Top Guides.
Our goal is to be sure that you have a comfortable and enjoyable visit with us. One that you will want to repeat.
Access to our lodge is by River boat or air. We have clients picked up at Gander airport (CYQX) and returned to Gander when their trip is complete. If you are driving, our boats will meet you at the Gander Bay Boat Basin in George's Point.
Georges Point is 26 Miles or 41 KM north of Gander on Highway 330.

Price: Starting@$75.00
Extra Price Information: Our Fly Fishing Schools start at $75.00 per day including lunch.
Guided Atlantic Salmon fishing $200-300 per day depending on the level of guiding desired. Our days run 24 hrs. ie. Noon on Monday-Noon on Wednesday is only a 2 day fee, not 3 days.
Hunting packages for 6 days hunts $1800-6000 depending on species.
Deposits: Flyfishing schools are to be paid when booked. Hunting and fishing trips require a $100 per person per day deposit and balance 30 days prior to trip.
Cancellations: Deposits are normally Non-Refundable. However, we do our best to work with clients and will reschedule your trip in the current year or the next season.
In cases of extreme hardship( just changing your mind doesn't count) we have refunded, but those who can, should purchase trip cancellation insurance. Our lodge time is a preishable commodity not unlike a truck load of lettuce, time is critical and the product is now yours. A July trip may be easily re-booked in February, but it is much harder to do this for you in the late days of June. |
