Long Description: Sailing in the tropical Whitsunday Islands, lying between the Great Barrier Reef and the Queensland sugar cane coast, is considered some of the best cruising in the world. These 74 coral fringed islands, the tips of an ancient, drowned mountain range, are all part of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park and protected as a World Heritage area. Very little development, uncrowded waterways, natural enviroments and abundant wildlife are features of the Whitsundays. The mainland town of Airlie Beach is the gateway to the Whitsundays and has everything a young, friendly resort town of about 5,000 inhabitants can offer. There is a range of well priced accommodation as well as restaurants.
Queensland Yacht Charters is a well-established company (since 1980) and offers a full range of yachts, catamarans and power boats for private charter. Skipper-yourself if you have some boating experience, or hire a sailguide to show you the ropes. Fully crewed luxury charters are available as well.

Price: from AU$325 per night
Extra Price Information: Prices are per boat per night (not per person). They are in Australian dollars. Minimum booking period 5 nights. Bareboat charters are self-catering. Luxury crewed charters are fully inclusive.
Deposits: $550 received within 7 days confirms the booking. Full payment is due 60 days prior to departure.
Cancellations: Full refund less $110 admin fee if cancelled more than 60 days prior to departure. No refunds within that time. Travel cancellation insurance is a condition of booking. |

Policies: Minimum of 5 nights charter except over New Year, which is a minimum of 7 nights.
Some experience is required, although formal qualifications are not. |
