Long Description: The Bay of Islands is reputabily one of the finest cruising grounds in the world. It is littered with quiet uncluttered bays, sandy beaches and unlimited safe sheltered anchorages.

Summer weather is predominantly blue skies with 10 to 15 knot sea breeze that softens at night to give quiet peacefull anchoring.

The main cruising area is a maritime park giving public access to all the islands. With minimal off lying dangers, no coral reefs, plentifull fish to catch and no anchoring or mooring fees to pay it is a cruising paradise.

Great Escape is a locally owned and operated business, we are passionate sailors who can offer other sailors a great boating holiday at a reasistic price.

Our 20 foot (6mtr ) Davidson yacht is a fully equipped, sturdy, 2 person budget boat, priced at $75.00 US per day or $420 US per week it is a holiday you will always remember.

The Noelex 25 (7.5 mtr ) designed by Bruce Farr and the larger Noelex 30 are lifting keel yachts enabling them to be sailed close to the beaches. Both have fractional rigs for sailing performance and easy handling.

We also offer an extreemly popular learn to sail package of 2 days lessons and 3 days charter for $200 US each plus guided group sailing holidays.

We also offer friendly, personal Kiwi hospitality and attention.
