Short Description: Catamaran Charters to Santa Catalina Island
Long Description: Gecko Yacht Charters specializes in skippered overnight charters of power catamarans to Catalina Island for fun in the sun. The Gecko Gecko is a 42 foot power catamaran that provides out standing performance and stability. The Gecko Gecko has accommodations of 4 double cabins plus a full galley and salon. All kinds of water toys including kayaks are available for guest use. Visit www.geckoyachtcharters.com to see pictures and layout of the vessel. The Gecko Gecko is based in Huntington Harbour and is available for coastwise charter any where in Southern California waters.
Spend 2 days to a week or more cruising from port to port or secluded anchorage with Capt. Randy who will take care of the vessel to ensure the safety of your experience. Captain Randy will fill you in on the local ecological features and folklore that surrounds Catalina Island and other Southern California ports.
At Gecko Yacht Charters, our focus is on sharing the Catalina Island Boating experience. The Gecko Gecko’s skipper is Captain Randy Boelsems.
Suggested 3day/2 night itinerary:
Day 1: Depart early morning from Huntington Harbour for Avalon. Maybe seeing some dolphins while in route. Arrive in Avalon after a comfortable cruise aboard the twin-hulled catamaran. Spend the day touring Avalon and have dinner in one of Avalon's fine restaurants or use the Gecko Gecko’s well-equipped galley.
Day 2: Depart Avalon for the west end of the Island, maybe snorkel in Italian Gardens, visit the rustic village of Two Harbors or cruise on to Emerald Bay. Gecko Gecko’s Mooring in the beautiful crystal clear green waters of Emerald Bay invites you to kayak or snorkel amongst the rocks and kelp forest. Have dinner at Two Harbors Harbor Reef Restaurant or BBQ onboard or on the beach.
Day 3: Spend the morning on a hike to Parsons Beach or just relax. Return to Huntington Harbour in the afternoon
Additional days around Catalina can be spent visiting many of the coves around the island such as, White’s Landing, Cat Harbor or Little Harbor.
Other destinations around Southern California include all the Harbors from San Diego to Santa Barbara.
You provide your own provisions or the Crew of the Gecko Gecko can stock the boat for you and even provide a cook/deck hand.
Captain Randy is an ordained minister in the Universal Life Church and can even perform marriages that are legal in the State of California, not just for the length of the cruise.
