Long Description: FishTale River Guides run guided Alaska salmon fishing trips on Little Susitna River, Deshka River, and Susitna River tributaries near Anchorage and Wasilla. Fish for king / chinook and silver / coho salmon. Also catch chum, pink, and sockeye salmon, rainbow trout, Dolly Varden char, Northern pike, and whitefish. Fish from roomy aluminum riverboats with padded swivel seats, tackle trays, and drybox storage. Our boats are equipped with outboard jet motors that safely skim us through shallow riffles to access prime fishing holes seldom fished by anglers using standard prop powered boats. We provide top quality casting rods and reels when backtrolliing for king salmon and spinnning rods and reels when casting for silver salmon, chum, pink, and sockeye salmon. Our rods and reels are sellected to match conditions under which you'll be fishing and will enhance your ability to catch Alaska's trophy salmon. If you have a special rod and reel of your own you'd like to use you are welcome to do so.
One our primary river, the Little Susitna River, our business is the longest operating guide or charter service on the lower river. For the past 15 years we've guided more anglers to more salmon from more fishing holes than any other charter or guide service on the river. At the end of your trip we also clean or fillet your catch free of any additional charge.
If you'd like to fish with the most experienced guide service on the river from roomy comfortable boats with with quality tackle and fish cleaning/filleting included with the trip give us a call or visit our extensive website for more information and to book your Alaska fishing adventure. It is our goal to provide a high quality trip at a reasonable price - if you fish with us you'll get a lot for your money including friendly guides who give sound instruction. You'll also use lures custom made for the Little Susitna and/or hand tied bait rigs. We've perfected several fishing techniques specificly for the fishing conditions on Little Susitna River.

Price: Start at $400 per boat for 6 hours guided fishing or $100 per person for 6 hours guided fishing.
Extra Price Information: Shared charter rates run $100 per person for 6 hours guided fishing and $150 per person for 10 hours guided fishing. Boat charter rates start at $400 per boat for up to 4 people with additional people costing $100 each for our 6 hour guided fishing trip. Boat Charter cost for our 10 hour guided fishing trip starts at $600 per boat with each additional person above 4 costing an additional $150. We also have several fishing and lodging vacation packages starting at $725 for 3 days fishing (6 hour trips) and 4 nights lodging. Deposits: Our trips are scheduled on a first come first served basis. A 50% reservation downpayment is required to reserve your choice of chater date and time. We will hold your space up to 7 days awaiting arrival of your reservation downpayment. Payment can be made by check, travelers check, or money order. Final payment is due at the start of your charter or fishing/lodging vacation.
Cancellations: FishTale River Guides will not be responsible or liable for loss, damage, or injury to guests or personal property or for cancellationexpenses resulting from weather, transportation, or acts of God. If we must cancel your trip due to circumstances beyond our control you may reschedule your trip or choose a refund. In no cases shall FishTale River Guides be responsible for any expenses beyond fishing charter costs.
If you cancell your trip with at least 14 days notice before the trip FishTale River Guides will provide a full refund of your reservation deposit, otherwise, no refunds will be made less than 14 days prior to the trip. |

Policies: Alaska Department of Fish and Game regulations will be followed, and all fishing will end when the last member of a party or charter keeps a daily bag limit of salmon. FishTale River Guides will provide tackle and/or bait and fish cleaning or filleting free of any additional charge. For a quality fishing experience we usually book 4 guests per boat, but on request of groups wanting to fish together in one boat we can run up to 6 people per boat. Larger parties will be split between two or more boats. |
