Short Description: Louisiana Fishing Expeditions / Guide and Charters
Long Description: Louisiana is perhaps the top fishing destination for the sport fisherman! Our fish grounds conjure up visions of tail walking sow speckled trout, monster rod busting marsh redfish, doormat sized flounder and the best trophy bass fishing. The pristine waters surrounding Hopedale, Shell Beach, & Delacroix Island has literally every fish setting imaginable. As for Capt. Ben, he specialize in fishing for speckled trout and redfish, though flounders, black drum, sheepshead, and white trout can also be found at times bitting on the end of one's line.
To top it all off, we are only a short 40 minute drive to our dock from the New Orleans French Quarter. An unbeatable combination of pure heart pounding excitement within a stones throw of downtown New Orleans.
THE CAPTAIN:
A SLU graduate with a degree in general studies (major biology/wetlands) and 20 years fishing experience, Capt. Ben excels in entertaining and educating while connecting clients with line and hook to saltwater game fish. As one of Louisiana's leading sport divers and marsh fishing aficionado, Captain Ben's expertise is unique and he takes great pride in ensuring your total comfort and fishing success.
THE FISHING BOAT:
Capt. Ben prowls the Louisiana marsh in his 2001 Privateer boat, the "Leto Weapon". It's a 25 ft. (9 ft. wide), shallow water draft, center console boat that's powered by a new 2002 Yamaha 250 Saltwater Series II motor. It's equipped with state of the art electronics, fishing tackle, safety gear and trolling motor.
ON-SITE ACCOMMODATIONS:
Come join us at the "Pelican Roost" where you can enjoy a relaxing atmosphere at get a good nights rest before waking to the aroma of coffee and biscuits. Then stroll across the street to our dock where Capt. Ben and the "Leto Weapon" await for you fishing adventure.
Anyway you look at it, Louisiana Fishing Expeditions should be your first choice for fishing for speckled trout and redfish and to just have a great time on the Louisiana bayou. Please give us a call or Email today. We guarantee fishing excitement and that you "pass a Good Time."
Testimonials: JOHN UTLEY
We have been acquainted with Capt. Ben Leto of Louisiana Fishing Expeditions for about a year now—ever since my wife caught her first fish and decided that fishing was a fun, healthy and gastronomically profitable pass time. We have always had a good trip with Ben and fully expected that yesterday would be another fun time. However, we were not prepared for what we experienced--every location we visited was truly fantastic. From early morning until early afternoon we were engaged in an endurance contest with some of the largest, strongest and healthiest trout/reds we have ever encountered. It was so busy that Ben and his deckhand, Roy, got precious little opportunity to use their own rods and reels. If they weren’t bringing more bait, coaching/cheering on Kathy and I or putting our fish in the box, they were replacing tackle the monster fish would periodically escape with. The day ended when the box was full and Kathy and I were exhausted, but ready to go again!!
BO DAVID
AS CAPT. BEN KNOWS I AM A QUIET MAN.THE BEST WAY TO SUM UP MY TRIP WITH CAPT BEN IS ONE OF THE BEST TIMES I HAVE EVER HAD. HE DID A LOT OF THINGS FOR US THAT HE DID NOT HAVE TO DO. HE REALLY ENJOYS HIS JOB! WELL, IT'S NOT LIKE A JOB TO HIM, IT'S LIKE YOU ARE GOING FISHING WITH A LIFE LONG FRIEND AND I HOPE I HAVE MADE ONE WITH CAPT BEN. IF HE WILL HAVE ME BACK I WILL GO BACK. THANKS CAPT BEN FOR ALL YOU DID FOR US.
BILL LADERER

I will be recommending your services to my friends and will be bringing my clients so that I can share this wonderful experience with them also. We look forward to fishing with you real soon.

GARY, MARK, RICHARD, AND J.R.
ON AUGUST 14, 2001 CAPT. LETO TOOK US FISHING IN BLACK BAY. THE FIRST STOP WAS OUR ONLY ONE, LANDING US SOME "MULE TROUT",. THE SPECKS WERE LIKE PARANA HITTING THE LIVE SHRIMP SOON AS IT HIT THE WATER. EVERY TROUT RANGED BETWEEN 3 TO 5 LBS. CAPT. LETO WAS AN EXCELLENT GUIDE AND JUST A FUN PERSON TO BE AROUND MAKING THE TRIP EXTREMLY ENJOYABLE. WE'LL BE BACK FOR ANOTHER TRIP IN THE NEAR FUTURE. WE CAUGHT OVER 300 LBS IN SPECKLE TROUT MAKING IT AN OUTSTANDING DAY. ALSO HIS BOAT WAS VERY COMFORTABLE TO FISH OUT OF. "BOHEMIAN BERKLEY".
RUSTY AND TAYLOR JONES
Captain Ben does it again! Taylor says thanks for a great time. The freezer is now full and so are the stomachs. We can't wait for are next trip in the fall. Thanks for doing a great job with Taylor, nobody helps the kids like you do. |
