Cetacea is Hull #1 of the Hinckley Sou’wester 59’ line of sailboats built in 1983 by Maine shipwrights. Cetacea has had an extensive refit and is professionally maintained by a team of highly skilled Dodson Boatyard staff in Stonington, CT. Cetacea’s owner and Captain, Christopher James Culver has been constantly upgrading this wonderful sailboat since he acquired her in 1999.

Below decks Cetacea offers elegant accommodations. The 2 forward cabins with private heads sleeps 4 (one of which is creq quarters)and a double and single birth aft will ensure the most comfortable accomodations available. Cetacea has ample storage forward, aft and her 15’ 6” beam provides plenty of additional storage for sails, gear and crew.

Price: $10,000/week + expenses

Extra Price Information: Priced at $10,000 USD/week which includes a captain. Expenses are extra. We will gladly provide a private chef for an additional fee.

Deposits: A deposit of 50% of the charter fee is required if the charter is to commence within six months. A 25% deposit is all that is required to confirm a charter more than six months in advance. The second 25% deposit is due prior to the six month mark.

Cancellations: A charter deposit is considered an earned fee by the yacht because the charter dates have been taken off the market and reserved for the clients use. If the charterer cancels and the time is not re-booked, the yacht is entitled to keep the deposit. If some of the dates are re-booked, the prorated deposit will be returned.
