Short Description: Sea Kayaking day trip to Shoup Glacier
Long Description: Our most popular trip to date, Shoup Glacier is 10 miles from Valdez, and is unique to Prince William Sound because it has two tidal basins. Abundant with marine birds, ducks, sea otters and harbor seals, Shoup Bay also contains the fastest growing Kittiwake rookery in Prince William Sound. Great for hiking, kayaking near icebergs, and observing harbor seals and sea otters, Shoup Bay is the ideal trip for beginning kayakers and children. Our efficient and comfortable water taxi is used to transport you to the kayak departure point (30 minute boat ride). This trip was pioneered by Anadyr Adventures. Total trip time: 8 hours
Time on the water: 4-1/2 to 5 hours, lunch and an optional hike

Shoup Glacier was the best thing we saw in Alaska! You were so knowledgeable about the geology of the area and about the entire ecosystem. Eating lunch in front of the Glacier was amazing - chololate and calving are a perfect combination. Candy for the eyes!

Price: 145/person
Extra Price Information: 10% discount for seniors, children 12 years and under and groups of 8 plus participants
Deposits: A 25% deposit will hold your reservation. Full payment and entire balance must be received in our office 45 days prior to departure date.
Cancellations: Any cancellations are regrettable, but a significant portion of our expenses are committed long before departure, as such a 10% administration charge per person applies to all cancellations. Upon receipt of written notice of cancelation, the balance of your trip fee will refunded according to the following schedule:
45 days or more before departure date: full payment less 10% per person administration fee
45-30 days: 75% refund
29 days or less, no refund.

Our tours are designed to take advantage of the best weather conditions which is also the busiest travel time in alaska. Group size is limited . Trips fill up quickly. A 25% deposit will hold your reservation. Upon receiving your deposit we will mail you: a conformation letter; a detailed list of personal gear needed; a questionnaire asking for your particular interests, physical limitations a liability release form.
